Getting to Chalet Dijla

By air

You can fly to Geneva and continue to La Lecherette by hire car (1hour 40 minutes) or by train and bus.

By train

You can take a train to Lausanne and continue your journey by hire car to La Lecherette (1hour 10 minutes) or by bus.

By hire car from Geneva airport

Chalet Dijla is (1hour 40 minutes) drive away from Geneva airport. Take the motorway heading eastwards along the length of Lake Geneva towards Lausanne and then signposted Martigny, Simplon Pass and Grande St.Barnard. Leave the motorway at the exit for Aigle and continue as per the instructions 'From Aigle'.

By car from the UK

The drive is about 600 miles from London to Chalet Dijla. After crossing the Channel take the motorway from Calais towards Rheim. Continue south east towards Dijon, turning left towards Besancon. Get off at the junction showing Pontallier. Take the route towards Pontallier, and Vallorbe which is the French/Swiss frontier. Take the Swiss motorway towards Orbe, Lausanne. Do not drive into Lausanne, but take the motorway sign-posted for Martigny, Simplon Pass and Grande St.Barnard. Take the turning off the motorway marked Aigle and continue as per the instructions 'From Aigle'.

From Aigle

Follow the directions to Chateaux D'Oex, Les Mosses and Les Diableretes and Gstaad. Climb the mountain through the hairpin bends. Past the left turn for the ski resort of Leysin and on through the village of Le Sépey. You will arrive at a fork indicating Les Diablerets and Gstaad to the right and Les Mosses and Chateaux D'Oex to the left. Take the left fork and continue through the village of Comballaz until you reach the skiing town of Les Mosses. Carry on for two kilometers beyond Les Mosses to La Lecherette, drive past the hotel on your left and the ski slopes on your right. The next left turn takes you to Chalet Dijla on Rue de la Chapelle.
